Need of fragrance experts in a perfume shop

A perfume shop may display a variety of perfumes and different kinds of fragrances, but only few of them take the services of fragrance experts to guide men and women about which scents to choose or which one would best suit one’s personality traits.

Yes, it is a fact that if a perfume is selected according to one’s personality characteristics, it builds confidence of the wearer and gives precise clues of who s/he is as Christian Dior says, “A woman’s perfume tells more about her than her hand writing” or C. JoyBell C: “You are never fully dressed without perfume”.  You must know women tend to have or are more careful about neat writing.

Most of the time, people choose a brand that is advertised widely by their favorite celebrity. Although it is ok, one has to explain his/her preferences to the fragrance experts before buying a scent that should be aromatic and keep the mood refreshed and full of life besides saving people from odors emitting from body or so to say putridity. Strong scents are good for persons with oily skin.

A perfume shop has several types of fragrances. Citrus, as the name implies, is made of citrus fruits like lemon, orange, etc. Floral is popular because of its constituents like rose and jasmine. On the other hand, oriental uses a blend of or separately spices and woody elements. Sweet-smelling herbs and mossy ferns are used in fougere type while green is a combination of grass, herb or pine.

A person can buy a scent according to his/her likings. For example, if s/he likes smells of orange, citrus is a better choice. Whatever you pick, keep in mind that your taste and price consideration do matter more than one who is being portrayed in media as an ardent user.

If confused whichever is good, then keep the testing process as simple as possible. Experts recommend four to five tests before buying one. In between, coffee smell may help in improving nasal power.

Typical perfume outlet showcases a variety of perfumes

A typical perfume outlet holds a variety of perfumes, fragrances, and colognes. Perfumes, considered luxurious in most parts of the world, are some of the products specially designed for males and females. However, some kinds of perfumes are androgynous hence consumable by both men and women.

The word perfume is a combination of two words ‘per’ and ‘fume’ in Latin meaning through smoke. What perhaps Egyptian invented in a small town during Queen Sheba’s rule has become a commonly likeable beauty product across the world. At present, people wear fragrances to create good impression as well as to create identity marks.

Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, and Eau de Cologne are the most popular forms of scents being used world over. EDT, EDP, and EDC are the common short names of these luxurious genres. A good perfume outlet holds all the three varieties.

EDT holds around one to six per cent of perfume concentrates. Its whiffs are sprayed to make morning aromatic. EDP possesses seven to 15 per cent of perfume concentrates. Its fragrance lasts longer and does not cost as much as other extracts do. Last but not the least is EDC that is treated same as EDT but different because of its concoction holding mixture of citrus oil and fresh fragrance.

Generally, all the scents being used in soaps, aftershaves, antiperspirants, body lotions, body sprays, and cosmetic products are broadly categorized under these three categories.

Prices of some perfumes are exorbitantly high because of mainly their ingredients. For example, a large quantity of rose petals is processed to extract a drop of essential oil.

No matter which kind of perfumes one wears, for making the fragrance long lasting and effective it should be applied on pulse points including wrist, backside of the ear, bending of knee and arm, and base of throat. Heat emissions are relatively higher at these points, thus allowing spiritz to act aromatically.

HP Photosmart: All-in-one printing solution

HP Photosmart is one of the ultramodern printing solutions presented by the world’s largest technology company. All its versions carry modern specifications including wireless printing, scanning, copying, etc.

While printing business plays an important role in galvanizing HP’s market value, some of its engineering designs are the star performers. HP Photosmart is, surely, one of them.

Overall, printing wing’s sturdiness can be gauged from the fact that it is going to prop up sagging personal computing unit in near future.

Will the merger of PC and printing businesses pave the way for pushing up revenue that is showing downward trend and slid seven per cent in the first quarter? Actually, reports are swirling in the media about such a happening. Sources privy to the developments told Reuters of forthcoming unification of the two units. The reorganization will take place soon, they said.

Combined revenue of these two wings stood at $65.35 billion last fiscal year. Comparing total market value of Hewlett Packard (NYSE: HPQ) of over $70 billion, the revenue is not small. Individually, printing accounts for 40 per cent of total value.

Nothing is permanent when it comes to profit making/revenue generating strategy. It was the same HP that sounded determined about its plan of selling or spinning off its PC arm because of its underperformance. As the leadership changed hands from Leo Apotheker to Meg Whitman, the plan was shelved and as a matter of fact ‘personal systems group’ assumed an important role in overall strategy.

“Meg Whitman is moving quickly to institute changes, e.g., fewer silos, greater emphasis on R&D, more conservative expectations,” said ISI group analyst Brian Marshall.

“Last week, we meet with the head of HP Labs and were impressed with the new organizational focus/direction put in place by CEO Whitman.”

HP ProBook: Best Computing Solution for Business Users

While there are several computing solutions for businesspersons and executives in the world of technology, HP ProBook is one of the best options available among a wide range of choices. Notebook is recognized for its convenience and mobility.

Hewlett Packard (HP) has unveiled at least 10 models of HP ProBook, which are different in terms of specifications including operating system, processor speed, display, memory, internal drive, graphics, audio, wireless connectivity, and energy efficiency. It is available in 14” to 15.6” display size. Interestingly, one thing is common in all the versions and that is memory. All 10 are equipped with 4 Gigabytes 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM.

According to the IDC, total 353 million units of personal computers were shipped during 2011 up 1.8 per cent year over year. Of that, 144 million were of desktops and 209 million of portable devices including notebooks, etc.

Use of PCs is increasing globally. Major demand is emanating from emerging economies. Numbers of shipments are expected to grow five per cent globally in 2011. In the coming year too through 2016, shipments of desktops and portables will grow 9.5 per cent in 2013, 9.6 per cent in 2014, 8.5 per cent in 2015, and 7.2 per cent in 2016, showed the table compiled by Digitimes.

Popularity of tablets is giving a tough time to other PC segments. Sale of tablets is growing day by day. Total numbers of tablets shipped last year were recorded at 69 million and more than 50 per cent growth is projected for this year.

Since technology makers are disclosing plans of making tablet media for business users, competition for business notebooks such as HP ProBook and desktops is about to get stiffened.

HP store to unveil Win 8 tablets

Though the official roadmap is yet to be publicized, yet according to the media reports HP store may be showcasing tablets powered by bleeding-edge Win 8 much like its competitors in the market. Lenovo, Dell and Nokia are other famous names planning to make Win 8 compatible tablet computers to challenge the dominance of Apple iPad.

Win 8 is on beta testing nowadays and will be officially launched by end of this year. MS Win 8 is being recognized for its enhanced touch capabilities. “We’re very encouraged by the touch capability we are seeing in the beta versions of Windows 8…Dell may also make Android tablets again,” according to the company’s official.

HP pioneered many computing solutions. The Palo Alto-based company has also not left behind in keeping its products at par with the general requirements of individual and corporate customers. Its thin, powerful, and lightweight HP EliteBook 846op received good response from field workers and executives because of its attractive features including 32-hour battery life.

HP store holds a wide range of computing solutions from desktop, laptop, netbook, and tablet to printer, cartridges, batteries, and accessories.

Demands of tablets are dramatically escalating year over year. Apple has recently launched iPad3 and received massive response from the market because of its Retina Display and improving touch capabilities.

Tablets are becoming ideal means of computing. Lately, Dell has indicated its plan of unveiling tablet in direct competition to iPad. Research firm IDC forecasts 106 million shipments in 2012. This implies a 54 per cent growth compared with 69 million tablet computers shipped worldwide in 2011.

HP printers & paperless world

Can we be in the paperless world in near future? To put it simply, is it possible if we won’t need papers and inks anymore to have hard copies of soft documents? Not for the next five years is the answer from a research firm IDC. According to its prediction, demand for printers and ink will be steady for the next five years.

Hewlett Packard (HP) continues to lead the market with 42 per cent market share. HP printers are popular because of their low cost and constant upgrades. According to an expert, HP builds up 40 per cent of its market value of $71 billion on printing business. Its eminent razor blade business model keeps working to maintain the company’s market share.

Why HP is market leader can be understood from the fact that it spends more than one billion dollar on research and development every year. The technology giant has embraced around 9,000 patents of printing and imaging that also include 4,000 belonging to cartridges and ink.

HP printers
are not the only prime source of income, but the company also racks up substantial sales of cartridges, which are masterpieces in engineering designs. Even if ink does not contain right amount of viscosity, it can badly damage a printer. The purpose might be to keep firm control over the after-sale market.

With the upgrades of technologies and innovation in information management, one can expect appearance of paperless world sooner than later.

HP pavilion Slimline s5: Merits & Demerits

HP Pavilion Slimline s5 is the latest edition in the slim desktop system category with some merits and demerits. While Blu-ray drive and HDTV tuner are its advantages, lower performance than predecessor slimline model is said to be its downside. HP Pavilion is a famous personal computing solution introduced for both desktop and laptop categories.

For many technical geeks, decrease of processor to a core i3-2120 dual core processor from core i5 series and memory to 4GB of DDR3 memory from 6GB signifies that they would find it difficult to carry forward demanding tasks such as video editing, etc. In the same way, comparatively present configuration has minimum slots (two) which restrains the capacity of memory upgrades.

However, Blu-ray compatible drive enables the high definition video content to run as well as record on CD and DVD.  Graphics of slimline s5 are upgraded to a larger extent with AMD Radoen HD 7450.

No doubt,
HP Pavilion comes up with dynamic features in desktop and notebook categories. The desktop slimline’s new version has under the following descriptions.

Description
Blu-ray Reader and Dual Layer DVD Burner Combo Drive
AMD Radeon HD 7450 Graphics Card with 1GB Memory
Intel Core i3-2120 Dual Core Desktop Processor
    Intel HDA 5.1 Audio Support
    4GB PC3-10600 DDR3 Memory
    1TB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
    Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless
Six USB 2.0, HDMI, DVI, HDTV Tuner, 6-in-1 Card Reader
Windows 7 Home Premium, Office Starter, HP Magic Canvas, Norton Internet Security

Drop in HP shopping opens doorway to cloud computing

Had decline in HP shopping anything to do with the rise in the earnings of three including Apple, IBM, and Teradata? HP earnings in the first quarter plunged sharply 44 per cent in the first quarter. And still, the company is planning to dare diverting capital investments to new fields of information security, data storage, etc.

Will it be successful in venturing out into different areas at the time when investors are more comfortable in pouring in money in IBM’s shares because of its strong financial position and appreciation in share value?

Experts do not consider it a rational decision. “Reports indicate that the company intends to boost its purchasing of Taiwanese electronics by 25 per cent to reach $30 billion in expenditures. I am not really sure what HP thinks is the point of such a move,” wrote an analyst in an article at seekingalpha.

“At a time when the company should be looking to cut costs, increasing the amount of money it is spending in certain areas seems like a bad idea to me,” he commented.

Importantly, HP is all set to jump to cloud computing by launching its own platform. Observers are seeing the entry by the company into cloud computing as intensification of market competition and tough time for the leading e-retailer Amazon.

“Hewlett-Packard’s alternative to Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been underway for over a year, and is likely to be the most ambitious project yet under Meg Whitman, who became chief executive of the Palo Alto, Calif., technology company last September,” said The New York Times' Quentin Hardy. “While seemingly focused on Amazon, the company is also looking at the project as a new way to compete with its traditional rivals.”

The sale of cloud resources is likely to prop up sagging net income of a world’s leading technology company and be compensation to floppy HP shopping.

HP outlet: A source of refurbished computing solutions

Refurbished products give noticeable price advantages to customers who wish to purchase latest machines below the original prices. HP outlet is the famous platform that provides technology aficionados with a roster of refurbished products from notebook, netbook, desktop, printer, etc.
Such products are not poles apart from same models being sold as fresh pieces.

Refurbished pavilion, officejet, or
Compaq 8200 and 7320 Business PC may be different because they need to be upgraded. Retailers or customers return brand-new machines because of many reasons than alone minor damages. These returned pieces called refurbished, undergo intense mechanical and electrical stress tests back at HP laboratories, and are revamped in accordance with the specifications of same new models. Normally, buyers of these products get 10 to 30 per cent discounts.

HP outlet showcases a variety of refurbished products, which cannot be termed secondhand. Unlike upgraded models, secondhand machines are depreciated because of the usage. The performance and speed of such machines are not up to the mark.

On the other hand, refurbished products receive engineering touches from experts second time to become faultless.

What is the harm in purchasing refurbished item if it is tagged with one to two-year standard warranty, service and support? Moreover, vendors like HP allow customers to return refurbished devices within one month if they are not satisfied with the performance. Most of the time, businesses find refurbished machines cost-effective computing, printing and scanning solutions.

Hp Officejet available off 20-30%

Hp Officejet is one of the best printers in all its peers. In terms of saving energy, speed, output, web and wireless printing, and fax facility, it has specifications that match only by few rival brands.

Hewlett Packard (HP) has launched different types of Officejet as real-time printing, faxing, and scanning solutions for home and home office.

There are 10 Officejet models available for sale. According to the specifications highlighted by the company, HP Officejet 6000 Printer reduces energy usage by 40 per cent as compared to lasers. It can print colored pages. HP Officejet 4500 All-in-one enables users to take print, scan, copy, and fax documents. Its output is 6 b/w pages per minute and 4 colored pages per minute. Another important one is 6000 Wireless Printer, which has a unique automatic function of two-sided printing. 4500 Wireless All-in-one Printer can take printing orders via email besides sporting basic features of non-wireless model.

HP Officejet e-All-in-one E710n has 2.36” touch screen, Wi-Fi, PC-free printing option, etc. The last spec is wonderful because it has thinned out the difference between PC and printer. One can download desirable document through printing app on the touch screen and take prints directly. The same feature is also in 7500 A Wide Format e-All-in-one E910a.

HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer is compact and lightweight, has Bluetooth wireless printing feature and can produce 500 pages on a full-charged Lithium-Ion battery.

A more consoling thing for buyers is that the company is currently giving up 20 to 30 per cent discounts on all types of HP Officejet. In value terms, the discounts range in between $30 to $40.

HP notebook in competition with tablet

Is HP notebook or personal computer category gradually being replaced by modern machine such as tablet or specifically iPad? Whatever the growth figure of Apple’s flagship product is, diehard officials of Palo Alto-based Hewlett Packard (HP) are not ready to concede heydays of PCs have come to an end as a befitting substitute in the form of tablet computer is now available in the market.

“PCs remain key tools for everything from video editing, music mixing, and spreadsheet crunching to thoughtful missives,” said James Mouton, general manager of HP’s personal computer global business unit. “And if you’re sending Junior off to college, the first computing product needed for homework is a PC,” Mouton responded to an email query by Forbes.

At the same time, he was not niggardly in accepting what he called the terrifically complementary role of tablets.

Driven by Apple’s iPad, sales of tablets climbed staggeringly 247 per cent to 63.2 million units last year, according to a research firm Canalys. Desktops and notebooks stood not even near that rate of growth. However, in terms of number of units sold desktop and notebook including HP notebook outshone post-PC generation.

Total 112.4 million desktop units were sold last year, indicating 2.3 per cent growth while more than 209 million notebooks were sold, up 7.5 per cent. Netbook sales, however, plunged 25.3 per cent to 29.4 million units in 2011.

Apple generates much (approx. 75 per cent) of its revenue from post-PC devices including iPad, iPhone, and iPod. It sold collectively 172 million units of these devices in 2011. For the time being, it looks difficult if notebook users would be ready to give in the big-screen comfort. Future of netbook is however perceptibly gloomy.

HP netbook versus notebook

HP netbook is a superbly portable computing solution, a best alternative to a traditional laptop or notebook. Because it consumes less energy while performing functions, it is categorized green machine. A user can take it in purse and small bag due to its small size not more than 12 inches and less than five pounds of weight. From internet operations to office works, all functions can be performed effectively on netbooks.

On the other hand, its price is also competitive in comparison to laptops though a netbook with modern specs costs higher than a notebook.

HP has launched several models of netbook in market. HP mini 210 has 8.8 hours battery in a single charge, and is available in five elegant colors. It is a perfect machine for video conferencing and face to face chatting through built-in web cam.

Compare mini with a typical laptop and you would get the clear indication of which one of them is suitable for meeting computing needs on the go.

HP Mini 110 is 10.55” by 7.51” and Mini 210 10.55 by 7.51 inches while a laptop is 12 by 8 inches. This is indicative of mini’s fit-to-purse feature. It can be carried without bearing a load on shoulder or hand. Mini 110 and 210 weigh 2.52 lbs and 2.78 lbs respectively while a notebook carries a weight of 5.9 lbs.

Mini 210 has Win 7, Intel (dual core, 1.60GHZ, 800Mhz), 320 GB hard drive, webcam with integrated digital microphone, and up to eight hours of battery life.

While there are many benefits of HP netbook, some limitations do not make it a smart choice for graphic designers or those who want speedy processor to perform professional animation works for example.

A mini sports a memory of up to one gigabyte compared with two to eight GB of notebook. It has no internal optical drive. Experts advise it is not good for sophisticated tasks such as content creation, video editing, and gaming.

HP going crazy about hard- and software

What the technology solutions leaders like HP do to scale above the crisis. Some go for restructuring and others for mergers and acquisitions. Similarity is that all accept changes and try to fit snuggly into the new roles defined by conditions for them.

HP continued to make remarkable marks in the personal computer category. Be they HP laptops, desktops, or printers, they managed comfortably to outperform their rivals plentiful in the market when it comes to quality, convenience, user-friendliness, and innovations.

Visibly, over the last few years, the last element has remained conspicuous in absence generally. The company, unquestionably, continues to keep itself abreast with the changing customer demands and has brought about modern desktop, laptop, and printing solutions.

It perhaps could not realize the unapparent transitions that were taking place in the marker as users were (are) being pulled towards new sensations like smartphones and tablets. It is a fact that the company’s top officials have blurted in public.

Underinvestment is a gambit that has been opened up both by immediate past and present chief executive officers.

Top management is now eager to diversify investments in new technologies for individuals as well as businesses. Information management, internet-based system, and security services are the prospective areas of investments. Besides, the company will take a whack at tapping every segment that would be of interest of early adopters: individuals and enterprises.

So, HP laptops would likely benefit from re-engineering and upgrades as much as tablets and cloud computing do. The Palo Alto-based technology maker has gone crazy as it plans to jump into all businesses that mean technology: hardware as well as software.

HP laptop deals way to recover from setback in sale

HP laptop deals are increasing in numbers as the Palo Alto-based technology monster is looking for increase in top line and recovery from setback to sales in the first quarter. The deals can be grabbed directly from the company’s physical and online stores.

In fact, HP earns much of its revenue from computers and printers. However, the world’s largest manufacturer of personal computers is reportedly thinking of abandoning its prime operations since revenue from PCs is not as much as the production volume. That might be one of the reasons why the company has failed to exploit burgeoning demand of PCs in emerging markets.

The company’s earnings for the first quarter (Nov-Jan) dropped to $30 billion from $32.3 billion a year earlier, indicating a decline of seven per cent. It bagged 73 cents per share ($1.47 billion), down straightly 44 per cent compared with $1.17 per share ($2.6 billion).

“In the first quarter, we delivered on our Q1 outlook and remained focused on the fundamentals to drive long-term sustainable returns,” said Meg Whitman, HP president and chief executive officer in a press statement.

“We are taking the necessary steps to improve execution, increase effectiveness and capitalize on emerging opportunities to reassert HP’s technology leadership.”

Internet retail spending was recorded at $200 billion in 2011, according to a research firm Forrester. Online sales will account for nine per cent of total retail sales by 2016 in a wide contrast to an existing seven per cent.

In the holiday season, the concentration of shoppers was on online shopping channels than brick and mortar stores because of unique deals touted at online channels, loyalty programs, and flash sale sites.

HP laptop deals are off-the-beaten path attractions for those who rummage around quality technology solutions within limited budgets.
