HP netbook is a superbly portable computing solution, a best alternative to a traditional laptop or notebook. Because it consumes less energy while performing functions, it is categorized green machine. A user can take it in purse and small bag due to its small size not more than 12 inches and less than five pounds of weight. From internet operations to office works, all functions can be performed effectively on netbooks.
On the other hand, its price is also competitive in comparison to laptops though a netbook with modern specs costs higher than a notebook.
HP has launched several models of netbook in market. HP mini 210 has 8.8 hours battery in a single charge, and is available in five elegant colors. It is a perfect machine for video conferencing and face to face chatting through built-in web cam.
Compare mini with a typical laptop and you would get the clear indication of which one of them is suitable for meeting computing needs on the go.
HP Mini 110 is 10.55” by 7.51” and Mini 210 10.55 by 7.51 inches while a laptop is 12 by 8 inches. This is indicative of mini’s fit-to-purse feature. It can be carried without bearing a load on shoulder or hand. Mini 110 and 210 weigh 2.52 lbs and 2.78 lbs respectively while a notebook carries a weight of 5.9 lbs.
Mini 210 has Win 7, Intel (dual core, 1.60GHZ, 800Mhz), 320 GB hard drive, webcam with integrated digital microphone, and up to eight hours of battery life.
While there are many benefits of HP netbook, some limitations do not make it a smart choice for graphic designers or those who want speedy processor to perform professional animation works for example.
A mini sports a memory of up to one gigabyte compared with two to eight GB of notebook. It has no internal optical drive. Experts advise it is not good for sophisticated tasks such as content creation, video editing, and gaming.
